Terms and conditions
Booking
Your booking is final once you have received a confirmation from us.
Payment
You pay for your place in advance, unless we agree otherwise. Unfortunately, you cannot take part without payment.
Gift vouchers
A gift voucher is valid for 24 months from the date of purchase. This also applies to vouchers that still show a shorter period.
To redeem it, email senne@smaakcultuur.nl with your voucher code and the date you choose.
A voucher is for one participant and is valid for the workshop stated on it, even if its price changes later.
Prefer a different workshop? That's possible. If it costs more, you pay the difference.
If we cannot offer a suitable date within the validity period, we will find a solution together or refund your money.
Changed your mind? Within 14 days of purchase you get your money back, as long as the voucher has not been redeemed. After that, a voucher cannot be exchanged for money.
Cancellation by you
A workshop takes place on a fixed date, so the statutory 14-day cooling-off period does not apply. You can, however, cancel free of charge up to 14 days in advance.
Up to 14 days before the workshop: full refund.
Between 14 and 7 days before the workshop: 50% refund.
Within 7 days of the workshop: no refund. Can't make it? You can always let someone else take your place – just let us know.
Cancellation by us
We do everything we can to make a workshop go ahead. Sometimes that isn't possible (for example due to too few bookings, illness or force majeure). In that case we schedule a new date or refund your money.
Physical contact
During some workshops (such as sourdough) the teacher may briefly make physical contact, for example by touching your hand or wrist to let you feel a technique. This is always done respectfully and only to explain the lesson better. Not comfortable with this? Let us know beforehand or during the workshop and we will of course take it into account.
Liability
Participation is at your own risk. We cannot accept responsibility for injury, damage or loss of belongings. Of course, we always provide a safe and pleasant environment.
Materials
Recipes, handouts and other materials you receive are for personal use. They are not meant to be distributed commercially without consultation.
Photos
During workshops we sometimes take photos or videos for our website or social media. Would you rather not appear in them? Let us know beforehand and we will take it into account.
Recordings
During workshops we sometimes record the audio, so we can keep track of questions and points for improvement. We ask about this at the start of the workshop; if anyone objects, we don't record. We only use the recording for our own notes. We never publish it and delete it after 30 days. For transcription we use Plaud; the data is stored on servers in the EU. We only use a quote with your name if you give permission.
Force majeure
If something happens beyond our control (for example illness, a pandemic or government measures), we may reschedule or cancel the workshop without reimbursing other costs.
Law and disputes
We hope it never comes to this, but should a disagreement arise, we would much rather resolve it together. If that doesn't work, Dutch law applies. This is a translation; in case of differences, the Dutch version prevails.
